    Your Not Alone

    A bit about me

I want to build a web site that can help other fellow sufferers, somewhere they can come to, for help and support, and so they know that there are people out there who do understand and that do care.

I am 33 years old; I have just been diagnosed with cervical cancer and bowel cancer.

I was pregnant with twins at the time of diagnosis, but far to early for my babies to survive on their own out side the womb.

I had a tough choice to make, one which I didn't want to make, but I knew I had no choice. If I decided to leave the treatment I would have died before my babies were born, and they would have died too, or I could have had my babies but left them motherless.

So, after many a sleepless night, a lot of crying, and a lot of talking to my good friend Adele and my wonderful supportive sister Pepsi, between us we made a decision.

I went into hospital to have a Radical hysterectomy (this is where the uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries, lymph nodes and the top 1 inch of the vagina is removed) (they also removed my babies)

While in surgery having a radical hysterectomy I also had to have part of my bowel removed because I have bowel cancer. The surgeons created a stoma which is an artificial opening from the intestine to the abdominal wall .

This is where a stoma is situated on your body

This is how a stoma is created by the surgeon

My prayers and thoughts are with you all and if anyone needs someone to talk to, or just to listen I would be more than happy to lend a shoulder or an ear. Also, I would like to thank my wonderful friend Adele and Sister Pepsi for always being there for me and being my rocks when all I wanted to do was give up and cry, you two will never know how much your support has meant to me. I love you both, Today, Tomorrow and Forever.

Please keep coming back to my site, as I am only just building it, please feel free to leave comments about this site, thank you
